play Waiting On The Rain

Julie stares out her living room window
She says, "I can't afford to get out too much these days."
She watches the sun set. Fixes some dinner.
While a classic hits radio station plays.

Julie smiles and says, "I'm crazy about this city,
"But sometimes it's hard to think above the noise.
"I'm used to frustration. I used to get angry.
"But now I bite my tongue when I'm annoyed."

She says, "Life's too long not to live for the moment.
"Life's too short to let a moment slip away.
"Don't go chasing rainbows. You might never find one.
"Don't waste your life waiting on the rain."

Julie sighs and says, "I'm not just a waitress.
"I'm gonna live in Italy someday.
"I'm gonna be a painter. Maybe a sculptor.
"But I've got too many bills right now to pay."

She says, "Life's too long not to live for the moment.
"Life's too short to let a moment slip away.
"Don't go chasing rainbows. You might never find one.
"Don't waste your life waiting on the rain."

She says, "Life's too long not to live for the moment.
"Life's too short to let a moment slip away.
"Don't go chasing rainbows. You might never find one.
"Don't waste your life waiting on the rain."
